Fried shimimochi rice cakes
Soy sauce/red pepper flakes (to taste)
Coat a pan with salad oil.
Add the shimimochi rice cakes immediately and heat the oil until it reaches 180–200ºC, then continue frying for 5–6 minutes.
Remove the fried shimimochi from the pan and place on a plate or tray lined with a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
Flavor the rice cakes with soy sauce or red pepper flakes to taste.
